listening to concerns in officeMichele works hard to protect our high-rise and condominium residents. She organized the lakefront wards and defeated the attempt to impose an unnecessary and burdensome sprinkler mandate on multi-unit buildings.

She fought back against proposal that would have immediately eliminated condominium refuse rebate in 2011, and was able to negotiate “phase out” of the program over several years. Michele also helped defeat a proposed law that would have prohibited condominium associations from including special assessments, chargebacks, and limit a condominium association’s ability to collect late fees, attorney’s fees or court costs, from third-party purchasers following a foreclosure.
